Change ebook colours Using Google Chrome or Firefox
Install "Midnight Lizard" from midnight-lizard.org and then change the theme and turn it on. There are a variety of themes and you can even make your own custom one. Our Favorite is Antique Codex. If it gets annoying you can just turn it off or uninstall it. This is ideal if you are reading the ebooks or even journal articles and websites in the browser but not downloading them.
In Adobe Reader
If you are downloading articles or chapters of ebooks you are probably going to be reading them using Adobe Reader. To change the background in Adobe Reader follow the following steps:
