This guide assumes you have registered with Ebrary and are signed in to your Ebrary account.
Download a Chapter to PDF
Open a book and click on the chapter you want to download from the table of contents
Click on the chapter download button (you can mouse over these buttons to see what they do)
Click continue from the menu that appears. You can then open and save your pdf
Download to a PC or Laptop
This guide assumes you have an Adobe ID and have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your laptop or PC. You can create an Adobe ID on the digital editions website (click sign in and then click Get an Adobe ID)
Click the full download button, and then select Laptop/Desktop as your device and click continue. It gives you a link to digital editions if you need to download it, or click "done with this step" if already installed.
An acsm file will download. This is not the book, this is a file that works to download the book. Double click on it, and your PC or Laptop will automatically open Digital Editions and download the book.
Copy and Print Limits
The copy and print limits on most ebrary books are based on the following percentage of the number of pages in the book.
Online Allowances (per book, per user session)
Copy = 15%
Copying multiple selections from a page counts as one copy
Print = 30%
Print to paper or print to PDF (aka chapter download)
Offline allowances (from ADE or Bluefire, once you’ve full-downloaded)
Copy = 10%
Print = 10%
