Find the book in Summon and check availability
Click on the + More link to display all the copies of the book. Book reserves will only work if all available lending copies are on loan. (Reference is not counted as reference books are not lent)
Place your mouse over the book record in Summon to display the reserve panel.
Click on the reserve book button which will open the record in the catalogue.
Click the reserve item link, you will be prompted to insert your student number or staff number and your library password.
Please follow the instructions that appear to reserve the book.
When the book is returned you will be emailed to tell you the book is waiting for you to pick it up at the information desk.
The book will sit at the information desk for 3-5 days for you to collect it after which it gets returned to the shelf.
You can cancel a reserve at any time by just letting us know at the information desk or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are an online learner please follow the instructions that appear to get the book posted to you. more info
If there are any copies available for lending, even if you cannot find them on the shelf an error message will appear and your reserve will not work.
